from one generation to the other, following the age-old rhythm of the seasons, the company Marini has been gathering and trading in all the varieties of truffles, which spontaneously grow in the wealthy territory where the firm is located: Acqualagna/Central Italy – the locality is famous for being the centre of the busiest truffle market at national and international level. Surrounded by woods of oak and holmoak trees, in the most typical Apennine landscape at the foot of Mounts Catria and Nerone Acqualagna is still today, as it was in times bygone, famous for its White Truffles. over two thirds of the entire national production of this well known tuber come from the Acqualagna region.

for centuries the White Truffle from Acqualagna (Tuber Magnatum Pico) has graced the tables of emperors, popes, princes and nobles alike.

indeed, truffles confer elegance and refinement of taste to any dish: the simplest risotto, the humble fried egg, the everyday steak or escalope, an ordinary pasta dish with butter, a canape, even a sandwich become dishes fit for a king if sprinkled with grated truffle or minute quantities of wafer thin slivers of this tuber.

alongside the famous White Truffle Acqualagna also produces other seasonal varieties of which the Black Truffle from Norcia, or Perigord (Tuber Melanosporum Vitt), the Summer Truffle (Tuber Aestivum Vitt) and the Bianchetto Truffle (Tuber Burchii Vitt) are but a few.
